Dream Catcher is a live casino game from Evolution in which a presenter spins a large money wheel. Players bet on one or more of six numbers, with 2x and 7x multiplier segments affecting the odds paid on a winning bet. The original live game and the separate First Person version share the wheel concept, but they use different ways of determining the result.
This guide covers the rules, payouts and limits of betting strategies. For a wider comparison of live dealer games, see our live casino guide.
Dream Catcher at UK casinos
Before choosing a casino specifically to play Dream Catcher, check its current UK lobby for the exact version. A casino offering Evolution games does not necessarily offer every title. Read the game’s help screen for its betting limits and check whether any casino bonus terms exclude it.

Dream Catcher overview
The vertically mounted wheel has 54 segments in total: 52 numbered sections and two multiplier sections. The six numbers are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 40. The remaining segments carry the 2x and 7x multipliers.
In the live version, a real presenter runs the game from a studio. The camera follows the physical wheel as it turns. Evolution introduced Dream Catcher at ICE London in February 2017, and the game won Digital Product of the Year at the 2017 Global Gaming Awards.

Placing a Dream Catcher bet
A £1 chip on each of 1, 2 and 5 makes a £3 bet for the round. Select your chip value, then the numbers you want to back, checking the total against your budget and the table limits before betting closes.
Place your bets while betting is open. Once that period closes, the host spins the wheel and you wait for it to stop. A numbered result settles the round: bets on that number win and bets on the other numbers lose.
A 2x or 7x result keeps the same round running. Your bets are locked while the host spins again, so there is no opportunity to add a stake after seeing the multiplier. Under Evolution’s rules, further multipliers multiply together until a number settles the round and determines which bets receive the increased payout odds.
RTP, odds and payouts
Without a multiplier, the payout odds match the winning number. A winning bet on 1 pays 1:1, while a winning bet on 5 pays 5:1. These figures describe the profit on that bet; the winning stake is also returned. For example, £2 on 5 produces £10 profit and a £12 total return.
The numbers are not equally frequent. There are 23 sections marked 1, 15 marked 2, seven marked 5, four marked 10, two marked 20 and one marked 40. Number 1 therefore has more opportunities to land than 40, but pays less. A more frequent result does not make a bet safe.
Published RTP figures need context. Paddy Power’s Dream Catcher page lists a range of 90.57%–96.58%. Check the information for the version and bet you are actually considering rather than treating the highest advertised figure as universal.
Return to player is a theoretical long-term percentage, not a forecast for a session. It does not mean that a particular £100 of bets will return an amount within the advertised range. A player can lose their whole stake.
How the bonus multipliers work
A 2x result doubles the payout odds on the eventual winning number; a 7x result multiplies them by seven. Neither segment is a separate number bet.
For example, suppose you have £20 on 5 and the wheel lands on 2x, then 5. The usual 5:1 odds become 10:1, giving £200 profit. Including the returned £20 stake, the total return is £220.
Consecutive multipliers multiply together. If the sequence is 2x, then 7x, then 5, the same bet pays at 70:1: £1,400 profit and a £1,420 total return. These examples assume the applicable game limits do not cap the win.
Consult the current game rules for the maximum payout. A fixed cash limit quoted for another casino or currency should not be assumed to apply to your game.

Live Dream Catcher and First Person
The live version uses the studio presenter and physical wheel described above. First Person Dream Catcher is a separate 3D-animated game whose results are determined by a random number generator. Its animation is not a broadcast of the live wheel.
Evolution describes speed settings and a GO LIVE button for its First Person product. Features and availability depend on the casino and jurisdiction, so these should not be assumed to be available in every UK version. Check the game title and help menu rather than relying on a similar-looking lobby image.
Can a Dream Catcher strategy improve your results?
No betting system can guarantee a profit from Dream Catcher. Changing your stake does not change the wheel’s outcome, and a run of past results does not establish what will happen next.
Choosing a more frequent number changes the balance between the chance of a winning result and the amount it pays. Backing several numbers covers more possible results. If you keep the stake per number unchanged, it also increases the total money at risk. A winning selection can still leave you with a net loss once the losing selections are counted.
Suppose you set a £20 budget for a session and lose it. That is the point to stop, even if another deposit would let you carry on. Raising the limit to chase those losses defeats its purpose: larger stakes put more money at risk without reducing the house edge.
Choosing between the two versions
For the studio presentation, look for live Dream Catcher in the casino lobby. First Person uses animation and computer-generated results, so a similar-looking wheel does not mean you have opened the live game. Before placing a stake, check the payout rules and limits for that version. Neither format should be treated as a way to earn money.
Dream Catcher FAQ
Which numbers can you bet on in Dream Catcher?
The six betting options are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 40. You can back one or more numbers. The 2x and 7x segments are multipliers, not separate betting options.
What happens when the wheel lands on a multiplier?
The host spins again with your original bets locked in; you cannot add money to them. A 2x followed by a 7x means 14 times the normal payout odds if your number eventually wins. Further multipliers keep the sequence going, and any payout cap in the game rules still applies.
Is First Person Dream Catcher the same as the live game?
No. The live game has a presenter and a physical wheel in a studio. First Person is a separate 3D-animated version that uses a random number generator to determine results. Check the casino’s lobby to see which version it offers.
What is Dream Catcher’s RTP?
Paddy Power lists a range of 90.57%–96.58% for Dream Catcher. Check the help screen for the version and bet you choose. RTP describes a theoretical long-term return, not what you will get back in a session.
Is there a winning Dream Catcher strategy?
No betting system guarantees a profit. A number appearing more often on the wheel does not make it a safe bet, and previous results do not predict the next outcome. Setting a budget controls spending, not the result.
